Costa Rica is a large country with a couple airport options, spread out cities, beautiful resorts, and breathtaking scenery.
Popular activities and sights include rainforests and much more!
Day 1: Arrival in San Jose
Arrive in San Jose Metro, Costa Rica (SJO airport) Transfer from SJO airport to Manuel Antonio Accommodation
If you are flying in from the USA, you will most likely arrive in San Jose in the afternoon. If so, I suggest stopping in Jaco for some beautiful sunset photos along the way to Manuel Antonio.
Wake up early to explore one of the greatest wonders of Costa Rica – Manuel Antonio National Park Here you will find different species of monkeys, sloths, unique birds, and so much more!
After the morning tour walking through Manuel Antonio National Park, you will end at the beach within the National Park. This is a great time to enjoy the beach. There are 2 beach areas – one is busier better suited for swimming while the other is quiet and less crowded.
Day 3: Exploring Manuel Antonio
Your last day in Manuel Antonio – make it worth while with one of these awesome tours:
There are a few different options for your transfer from Manuel Antonio to Arenal. The transfer is about 5 hours.
You can choose the option to go straight there on a long transfer, or another great option is to do a tour along the way to break up the long drive time by doing what we call an ‘Adventure Connection Transfer’ Desafio has some great options for adventure connection transfers.
Day 5 - 7: Explore Arenal
Arenal is one of my favorite spots in Costa Rica. Here are some great tours I recommend in Arenal:
